Our Story

Family-owned Alpaca Farm

Welcome to The Mill at Stoney Meadows Alpacas, nestled in the heart of Claredon, New York, where our fields are graced by a majestic collection of Huacaya Alpacas! Since 2012, our journey began as an alpaca farm, evolving swiftly into breeding, establishing a loom business, and now proudly a state-of-the-art fiber mill.

As a family-operated farm, passion drives every aspect of our farm. We cherish our exquisite animals and the fine fibers they produce, each a testament to our dedication and care. Co-owner Theresa Jewell, a celebrated fiber artist and esteemed fiber arts judge, extends her expertise through captivating weaving and spinning lessons.

We invite you to experience the charm of our farm firsthand. During your visit, be sure to extend a warm greeting to our faithful guardian dog, Apollo! Come, explore, and become enchanted by the magic of Stoney Meadows Alpacas.

Our Commitment

Here at The Mill at Stoney Meadows, we're all about sharing our passion for quality products and the art of weaving with our customers. We believe in making weaving accessible to everyone, which is why we offer top-notch continuous strand weaving looms alongside friendly, hands-on education. Our joy comes from teaching fellow weavers how to bring their creative visions to life using our looms, and we take pride in being part of their journey to craft beautiful handmade products.
